About Beanie Boos

About TY

Ty Inc. manufactures the Beanie Boos collection and is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Oak Brook IL, a suburb of Chicago USA.

Founded by Ty Warner in 1986, Ty is now the largest manufacturer of plush in the world. It designs, develops and sells products exclusively to specialty markets worldwide.

Beanie Boos are big eyed stuffed animals that are made by the great Ty toy company, who found success with the production of their famous  “Beanie Babies” that were produced from 1993 to present day.  There have been various Beanie style stuffed animals produced between then and now but it seems as if Beanie Boos have found similar success amongst young girls.

Beanie Boos can easily be identified by their large round eyes which is part of why they have became such a big hit with kids.  The average size is about 6 or 7 inches tall, but they also makes the in larger sizes, a medium size that run’s about 12 inches tall, and a larger size that’s about a foot and half tall.

These little critters are cute, there are versions representing about every animal species possible, and many special release for the holidays.  Each has a tag attached to its ear in the shape of a heart, with the company Ty on it, and inside the tag, is the animal’s name and birth date.

There are third parties currently developing custom clothes, hat’s, and accessories for the TY line of Beanie Boo stuffed animals. There is also a community of kids creatively producing Beanie Boo videos on Youtube such as the one I have embedded below.

In addition to fun educational videos like this, you will find kids from all over the world sharing their collections and using their imaginations to tell stories and bring their beloved beanie boo collections to life.
